The Civil Marriage Trail, which has been assisting gay and lesbian couples planning to get married in Canada, is doing a day of action to support the same-sex marriage ruling in Massachusetts.
On March 11, the legislature there will re-convene its constitutional convention to consider proposals to amend the state constitution to overturn the high court decision.
Marriage Trail will run buses from the LGBT Community Center on 13th Street to the State House in Boston at 8:30 a.m. for those wishing to show their support for marriage rights and the 1,049 federal benefits and responsibilities they confer. Round-trip fare for an evening return to Manhattan is $22.
