Five years after its debut, the Blasian March was set to return to Cadman Plaza on June 7 for this year’s march and rally — at least until the rain decided to show up.

Still, though, marchers made their way indoors to hold a scaled-down version of the event, with more than a dozen people gathering for speeches and performances. Organizers are planning to reschedule the main Blasian Pride March, but a new date has not yet been set.

The Blasian March, founded by Rohan Zhou-Lee, was launched in 2020 as a solidarity action between Black, Asian, and Blasian communities, according to the Blasian March’s website.
