PHOTO ESSAY BY DONNA ACETO | At the 28th annual Lambda Literary Award ceremony, held June 6 at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, winners were recognized in 26 categories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In addition, special recognition was given to Hilton Als, a staff writer at the New Yorker and author of “White Girls,” and to poet Eileen Myles.
