ARTHUR AVILES TYPICAL THEATER The Bronx-based contemporary modern dance company begins a celebration of its 10th anniversary with a year-long series of concerts and events beginning with three dates at Aaron Davis Hall as part of the E-Moves series. “¡Mi Celia! ¡Mi Puente!” is a set of seven energetic, sexy, and fluid contemporary modern dance works set to classic ‘50s music by legends Tito Puente and Celia Cruz. The concert also includes dance clips, personal video testimonials, and a swinging salsa couple. The troupe is led by the award winning, out, New York Rican choreographer Aviles, who is credited with making the Bronx a destination for professional dance by founding BAAD!
