A Manhattan Salute to Pride

PHOTOS BY DONNA ACETO | Scott Stringer, the borough president of Manhattan, hosted an LGBTQ Pride Month celebration on June 11 at the Onegin Restaurant in the West Village.

Stringer is flanked by honorees Earl Plante (shown separately as well), a longtime social and economic justice activist, Lynn Schulman, who serves on the board of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Leadership Institute, Village Voice columnist Michael Musto, and Brice Peyre (shown separately speaking, as well, as Stringer and other honorees look on), a top aide to East Side Democratic Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, who is standing next to him.

Others on hand included Brad Hoylman, an out gay Democrat who heads up Community Board 2 in the West Village and recently announced his candidacy to succeed State Senator Tom Duane;

and Cathy Marino-Thomas, the board president of Marriage Equality New York.
